I call my 1966 Dodge Dart the Brown Bomber. I bought it in 1980 for $600 from some friends that did not know what to do with it. It was not a very pretty car, but it ran great. It came with a 225 slant 6 and a 3 speed automatic in a 4-door sedan. The color was light brown, which really needed a paint job.

The kids never wanted to ride in it, let alone have me pick them up at school. They would scoot down in the seat so their friends could not see them.

I have not done anything to my Dart except for regular maintenance and oil changes. It still looks like the day I bought it. Even with 221,000 miles on the car, it runs better, more smoothly, and more quietly than my wife's 1993 Duster. I use it mostly for a work car now, but we have used it as the main family car many times when we were in between newer cars that kept wearing out. I have to say the Dodge Dart is the most dependable car I have ever had; even as ugly as it is, I would never part with it.

In my opinion there has never been a better car built, and there never will be. I love my Dart.
