Do you believe in magic
In a vintage Dart?
How you slide into her,
And she'll always start,
And it's magic!
Cause she's hip, and retro,
And she's graceful and sleek,
And she's ready to go!

I'll tell you 'bout that magic, and you'll know that it's true,
But the young folk don't know what an old Dart can do...

If you believe in magic,
You know who you trust,
She may have old vinyl,
And a small bit of rust,
But she'll start with smile,
On her valence, and you,
Whatever you ask her, she's willing to do...

Her engine is ticking, and she's ready to roll,
In a way that can calm all the storms of your soul...

If you believe in magic
Come along with me
We'll drive for an hour
Or two, or else three, and maybe
We'll make some heads turn-
They used to laugh at her,
But it seems they can learn...

And she might be a Swinger, or else a GT...
With a faithful slant 6, or a hopped 340...

Coda:

Yeah
Do you believe in magic, yeah
Believe in the magic of your old A-Body...
Believe in the magic of Mopar's pedigree...
Believe in the magic that can set you free, ah...

Talkin' 'bout magic (do you believe like I believe)
Do you believe in magic (do you believe like I believe)
Do you believe, believe (do you believe like I believe)
Do you believe in magic (do you believe like I believe)

Original Version

Written and Performed by the Lovin' Spoonful

Do you believe in magic
In a young girl's heart
How the music can free her
Whenever it starts, and it's magic
If the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie

I'll tell you 'bout the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like tryin' to tell a stranger 'bout-a rock 'n' roll

If you believe in magic
Don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music
Or rhythm and blues, just go and listen
It'll start with a smile
That won't wipe off your face,
No matter how hard you try

Your feet start tappin' and you can't seem to find
How you got there so just blow your mind

If you believe in magic
Come along with me
We'll dance until morning
'Til there's just you and me, and maybe
If the music is right
I'll meet you tomorrow,
Sort of late at night

And we'll go out dancin', baby, then you'll see
How the magic's in the music and the music's in me

Coda:

Yeah
Do you believe in magic, yeah
Believe in the magic of a young girl's soul
Believe in the magic of-a rock 'n' roll
Believe in the magic that can set you free, ah...

Talkin' 'bout magic (do you believe like I believe)
Do you believe in magic (do you believe like I believe)
Do you believe, believe (do you believe like I believe)
Do you believe in magic (do you believe like I believe)
